What it does

Two independent pieces of work in one run: finds backlink prospecting opportunities for your domain, and (optionally) drafts a digital-PR pitch for one specific article. Produces drafts only — no email is ever sent automatically.

Why you should use it

Link building is one of the more manual, time-consuming parts of SEO — this workflow does the prospecting and first-draft writing so a human only needs to review and hit send themselves (outside MAEL, for now).

Where to find it

Trigger it by its ID, outreach-campaign.

What information you must enter

Step-by-step

1

Trigger the workflow with the required fields

2

Wait for prospecting to finish

The workflow finds link opportunities, then drafts an outreach email for each one it identifies.
3

Review every drafted email yourself

No email is ever sent automatically by this workflow — every draft needs a human to review it and send it manually, outside MAEL.

What happens after you click Trigger run

Two branches run: backlink-opportunity prospecting (which dynamically drafts one outreach email per opportunity found), and — only if you set article_id — a separate, independent digital-PR pitch for that article.

How long-running work is shown

Same live execution timeline as any workflow — the number of steps grows with how many opportunities are found, since each gets its own drafting step.

How to understand the output

What action to take based on the output

Read each drafted email, personalize it further if needed, and send it yourself through your own email — this workflow deliberately stops short of sending anything under a real person’s name without their own final review.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting emails to send automatically — they don’t, by design (see the warning above).
  • Missing our_target_url or sender_name — both are required; the trigger will fail without them.
