In MAEL’s own vocabulary there’s no separate “project” entity — your domain (your website) is your project. Everything you’ll do next — audits, keyword research, content generation — happens against one domain at a time.

If you’re a platform administrator

You create the workspace and the domain yourself. Full steps: Initial Setup.

If you’re a regular team member

Your domain already exists — a platform administrator set it up. Your job here is just to confirm it, and get the one piece of information you’ll need next: its ID.
1

Check your domain is there

Sidebar → Settings. You should see at least one domain card with its name.
  • You see your domain? Good — move to the next step.
  • The list is empty, or your domain isn’t listed? Nothing to fix on your end — ask your administrator to add it (see Initial Setup).
2

Get the domain's ID

This is the one field the Settings page doesn’t show you directly — ask your administrator for the ID when they add (or added) the domain. See Start Here → Step 4 for the other ways to find it.
3

(Optional) Connect Search Console / GA4

If your administrator hasn’t already, click Connect next to google_search_console and google_analytics_4 on the Settings page. Not required to run a workflow, but you’ll want the data later on Analytics.

You’re ready when you have

A domain in Settings

Its domain ID
