What it does

Lists every domain in your workspace and lets you connect (or see the connection status of) Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 for each one.

Why you should use it

It’s the only way to get real performance data flowing into Analytics — nothing shows up there until a domain’s integrations are connected here.

Where to find it

Sidebar → Settings. (Also reachable via your avatar menu → Profile settings — it’s currently the same page.)

What information you must enter

Nothing typed — connecting is a one-click OAuth flow (you’ll sign in with the Google account that has access to that property).

Step-by-step

1

Open Settings

Sidebar → Settings. Each of your domains appears as a card.[SCREENSHOT NEEDED: Settings page with domain cards and Connect buttons]
2

Click Connect next to an integration

You’ll see Connect google_search_console or Connect google_analytics_4 as a button if not yet connected.
3

Sign in with Google

You’re redirected to Google’s own sign-in and permission screen. Pick the account that has access to the Search Console property / GA4 property for that exact domain.
4

You're returned to Settings

The button is replaced with a green Connected: google_search_console (or google_analytics_4) badge.

What happens after connecting

Nothing publishes or changes on your website — this only grants MAEL read access to your existing Search Console / GA4 data. The first sync happens automatically; expect data in Analytics within about a day.

What this page does not do

  • No “Add domain” button — domains are added by a platform administrator via the Clients page. See Initial Setup.
  • No WordPress or Ahrefs connect option — those integrations exist, but aren’t wired to a dashboard button yet; an administrator sets them up directly. See Initial Setup → Connecting integrations.

Common mistakes

  • Signing in with the wrong Google account (one that doesn’t actually have access to that property) — you’ll connect successfully, but see no data. Disconnect and reconnect with the right account (ask your administrator if you’re not sure which account has access).

Troubleshooting

“Failed to start the OAuth flow” → try again; if it persists, the underlying Google OAuth app configuration needs administrator attention.
